The Shipbrokers Register
The first Register was published on the 19th of August, 1926 by William Wramfelt, Authorized
Shipbroker. The first ‘Blue’ edition ‘The Shipbrokers’Register’ was published 1927 and the first
European edition in 1929.
The present Man. Director of the company Göran Wramfelt, MICS and Authorized Shipbroker
joined the family business 1961 and took over the company 1974 and at the same time introduced
computerization of the production of the Register and the first world-wide edition of The
Shipbrokers’Register was published 1981.
The Shipbrokers’Register is used daily by over 80.000 people in the shipping and forwarding industry.
It has become a valuable resource for the industry. The Register prides itself on providing up-
to-date contact details for approximately 13.000 Shipbrokers, S & P Brokers, Ship Agents, Liner
Agents, Chartering Agents and more world-wide. A basic entry (FREE of CHARGE) includes company
name, address, telephone/fax numbers, e-mail addresses and www. address without any implied
obligations whatsoever.
The Shipbrokers’Register also recognizes those businesses who are members of National Shipbrokers
Associations, FONASBA Quality Standard approved companies as well as BIMCO Broker Members. A
number of companies also publish 24/7 contact information.
